About Us

Established in 1994, Rainbow’s End offers childminding and tuition services for children from 3 months to 16 years.

Our services are intended for parents who would like their children to develop and learn to the best of their ability in a setting where they will receive one-to-one support each day from qualified, experienced professionals with a proven record of success.

At our last two Ofsted inspections, in 2009 and 2015, we were awarded ‘Outstanding’ grades in all categories.   In 2009, our ability to teach under-fives to read and write was acknowledged as being of exceptionally high quality and we were consulted by Ofsted in their ‘Leaping Barriers to Literacy’ study in 2010.

We tutored a child with dyslexia for the King Edward Grammar Schools 11+ Test in 2010 and he won a place at King Edwards Aston. We continued to support him through the next five years. In 2016 he passed 10 GCSEs at A and A* grades and is now studying Politics, Economics and History at A level. We tutored another child for the 11+ test in 2015 and he won a full fees paid scholarship at Highclare School. We have worked with children on the autism spectrum (from those with no speech to those with Asperger's Syndrome), children with moderate to severe challenging behaviour, children whose parents feel that their child is under-achieving, children who have been bullied, children with hearing impairment and gifted children.

We use methods, techniques and resources which we have developed ourselves through years of experience to enable children to learn and achieve.  We have created structured systems of learning which are adaptable to each child’s needs.

Success in adulthood starts with the best foundations in early childhood. This is why we start with that end in mind in everything we do, supporting and encouraging children from the earliest age in their journey to becoming capable, confident, independent learners, investigators and communicators for life.
